Why Sleep?

I love sleeping. You could say it’s my favorite. But lately I just can’t sleep. I will be extremely tired, but then when I go to bed I just stare at my ceiling. It is not fun at all. So tonight I figured I might as well just stay up, for a bit. I mean I have lots of things to do; I just don’t want to do any of them. I can’t even believe that the semester is almost done and in about 13ish days I will take the last final of my undergraduate degree!

Tonight we went dancing and I only got turned down by about ten guys. Haha sometimes you just have to live in the moment and not even care what other people think. It is these time that I am living in the moment that I have the most fun. Society is way too obsessed with other people’s opinions.  Who decided that other people were the experts on things? I sure didn’t!

Are You Kidding Me?

I finally did it. Yes I finished my Econ term paper. It was something that I never thought I would find the motivation to finish, but tonight I accomplished the impossible! I even made it fifteen pages long! Which is crazy!! I put lots of beautiful graphs in and am overall very proud of my end product.

Now, if you know me at all if it’s not due tomorrow I haven’t started it. So on my nice syllabus that my professor handed out the first day of class it says term paper due November 27. So I being the good student that I am finished it up tonight. However, right after I had printed it I checked my email only to find that the due date has been extended. Are you kidding me?!?!?! That is ridiculous! The reason being that some students were too lazy to go up to campus to grab their rough drafts from outside his door.  I was not that lazy and picked mine up the Friday before the break. O well, I guess that is one thing I don’t have to stress about Wednesday night.

P.S.

While I was being distracted writing my paper I came across two extremely funny YouTube videos. Yay, for Facebook friends for sharing these!  Enjoy!

I just love being a Mormon.

I think this is real funny! Sorry for the f-word, but still funny!

A Break

Boy is it nice to have a break from life for a little bit. This break has been wonderful and I am dreading going back to work tomorrow and school on Tuesday. I have enjoyed not having any responsibilities.  I had to work on Wednesday, but soon after I got off I headed up to Wyoming with my family to my grandma’s for Thanksgiving. My family being my family of course had to stop and go to the movies. We went to Breaking Dawn Part 2 and I thought it was pretty good. It was great to catch up with the cousins. It is crazy how old everyone is getting.

Then Thursday, we ate some food and peaced on out of Wyoming. Upon arriving back in Cache Valley it was shopping time. I met Kenzie at about six to begin a night full of shopping. I think I spent way too much money this weekend, but hey I had a good time. Here is a nice break down of the night.

Wal-Mart-

Of course the first place we waited for thing was at Wal-Mart. We honestly didn’t really have anything mind, which is actually a really bad idea. Because, then you think I might as well buy that. So we stopped buy the DVD section and positioned ourselves nicely to pick up Vampire Diaries and Pretty Little Liars. We were pretty amazing and checked out at approximately 8:03 PM.

Shopko-

The next store to really open was Shopko. We got ourselves in line for my headphones that I needed, as mine a broke on my ride home. We were in and out of Shopko in a matter of minutes and were thinking that nothing could stop us on our shopping adventures.

Shoe Carnival-

My best story of the night could possibly be the Shoe Carnival fiasco. The next group of stores didn’t really open until Midnight and we decided Shoe Carnival would be our best bet as the first hundred entrants received a gift card ranging from 10 to 100 dollars. Sounds good right? As we arrived there was a large line, but this line was not for Shoe Carnival it was for Best Buy. I think we started waiting in line about two and a half hours before the doors would open. As there were so many Best Buy shoppers, we positioned ourselves nicely on the curve as we did not need to be right by the door. At least this is what I thought. We were probably the only ones in line for almost an hour and a half. Kailey Skinner did come join us. There were maybe ten people in line when I realized some people were right up against the door. I nicely told them that we were actually the front of the line and it would be perfectly acceptable for them to go to the back of the line. This lady wasn’t super nice and didn’t think that since I had been waiting for an hour and a half before anyone else had been there, I should have any say in where the line was and would not join my line. So after waiting two and a half hours I probably entered the store about twentieth.  By this time I was real over Shoe Carnival and didn’t even want any shoes, but the stupid gift card was only good that day. So I found some shoes to purchase. I did end up getting some cute flats for about eleven dollars so I guess that is okay.

Ulta-

Ulta brought the longest check-out line that I waited in all of Black Friday. However, I do believe I made my favorite purchases there so the wait was well worth it. I purchased a nice curling iron and a straightener. It is purple and sparkly!!

Als-

After Mid-Night nothing really opens for a while. But why sleep? Kenzie was dead set on getting her Nike’s that we went over to Als to begin the three and a half hour wait. Yeah, I would not recommend this and will probably not be doing this in the future. I didn’t really want anything from Als, but I had a list from my family and came out with everything they wanted. It was very successful.

After a full night of shopping I was out of it Friday. I stayed home all day long and watched some Boy Meets World and took a nap. For some bright reason I thought shopping would be a good activity for Saturday again, and I hit up the mall. I bought three pairs of jeans and some perfume. However, I realized that if I really wanted to afford the jeans I should probably take back some of my prior purchases and ended up taking back everything I bought at Wal-Mart. Haha, kind of sad but the excitement of Black Friday is way more fun than actually keeping the things I managed to get a hold of before others right?

School is almost done and I could not be more excited. I only have a couple more big things to finish up before the Christmas break. And I have a feeling that this might just be the best Christmas break thus far in my life. So here is to hoping!

Fail

So I have been going to college for about two and a half years now, almost three and been a student for most of my life. This week I have accomplished the impossible. I failed, I flat out failed. I have probably scored in the sixties before, but never below fifty percent. This Thursday I scored a whopping thirty two percent. Yes you read that correctly. Luckily, when you fill out the blue scantrons they send you your score via email with some statistical figures. The best figure was probably the one that stated that I scored 51 out of 51 students.

Killing Life

I have never really thought about the students at the bottom of the class. However, I would say that if I only need to take that turn once I will do that for my fellow classmates. So you all are welcome. I just don’t plan on doing that again.

Turns, out that this fail on my part should not affect me in to many ways, as I am allowed to drop my lowest score. And going back to my lean test taking style why would I want to drop a decent score anyways. I might as well drop a super bad score that no one would want. I will luckily be able to move on with life. The number of tests left in my college career is probably countable on one hand, and life is good. So why dwell and stress over a failed test.

20 ½

Wow, it is just crazy how time flies. About halfway through today I realized that I am twenty and a half today! Where did that even come from? I know like nobody ever celebrates their half birthdays, but I always like to acknowledge them. So I will take this moment to wish myself a very happy half birthday!! It actually has been a decent day, nothing to complain about.

Lately, I have been thinking a lot about all the friendships I have had over my life. I am so grateful to all the friends that I have had throughout my life, as they each taught me something different. It amazing me, however, that people can go from being best friends and knowing everything about each other’s lives to being complete strangers. Luckily, there is Facebook and we can keep track of the people that used to mean something in our lives.

That Paper...

Remember that paper that I have been putting off writing. I think I forgot to mention that the teacher stated it should be 20 pages long, and then later stated that maybe 15 pages would be okay. So it is due tomorrow of course.  Well actually just the rough draft is due, so I wasn’t really getting myself too worked up about it. Because I conveniently convinced myself that it only maybe needed to be five pages, because of course it was just the rough draft. However, about eight o’clock tonight I realize that I should probably write the majority of this paper. So I cracked down to work. So far I have written eight pages. I am pretty sure that is more than I have written in a very long time. I even made some cute little graphs to add in.

This is my Lorenz Curve Graph. I made it all by myself. It shows income distribution.

This is the basic supply and demand curve graph that I have grown to love over the years. Probably influencing my addition of economics to my major.
I still have some more sections to write, but I think I am done for tonight. I will just wake up bright and early and finish up three more sections that need to be written. While this paper is important, I still seem to value my sleep above all else. Luckily, I slept like ten hours again last night. So I figure a nice five or six hours should cover me for tonight. This really just goes to show that procrastination does work, and I got a lot more done in three hours than I would have working on it last week.

Putting Things Off

Once again, I have shown that I am a pro at putting things off. I know that I have lots of things to do, but I just never do them. I will find probably about a hundred other things to do, before I actually complete an assignment. Currently, I should be working on a rough draft for a twenty page paper. But as it is just a rough draft I don’t seem to be having much motivation to actually complete it. I have done a number of things this weekend, and haven’t even started writing such a rough draft. Here is a nice list of everything I did instead.

Friday
  • I went to lunch with an old friend.
  • Went shopping at the DI and bought some six dollar jeans!!
  • Went shopping at the mall and purchased a full outfit.
  • Went to the Hockey game. They lost…
  • Jumped at the jump zone.
  • Taco Bell!!!!
  • Went to bed at three in the morning. I never do that!!

Saturday
  • Watched some stalking documentaries.
  • Went to lunch with another friend.
  • Watched the Time Travlers Wife, and cried, actually more like balled.
  • Cleaned my room.
  • Vacuumed my room, which never happens.
  • Read a whole book.

Today
  • Went to Church, I even stayed for the linger longer.
  • Completed another assignment.
  • Made some google documents for a class project.

Overall, this weekend I had lots of fun. Yes, I could have maybe worked on my paper a little but where would the fun have been in that. It is going to be so much funner trying to get it done before Tuesday, along with a number of other things that I need to probably complete.  On a happy note, the days just keep on rolling by and that is exactly what I need them to continue doing!
